Another Project from the Thrift Store

Here is another project inspired by a designer jacket I found in the thrift store. I loved the applique and decided to use it for my own design. Here is a new design - a simple linen dress with an open back, applique, and seed beads for additional decoration.

Drawing with Bleach

Today, I would like to present a little tutorial on how to draw with bleach. I posted some final pictures in my previous post and now I would like to show you the whole process. I used a 50/50 water and bleach solution in his case. As you draw, you can see the strokes of bleach turn from black to a golden orange hue. Be aware, this technique has to be done in small pieces of fabric. If you leave the bleach on the fabric for too long before washing, it can damage the fabric. Practice before using this method on the actual garment. Work fast and efficiently.
